About your instructor
For Todd, dance is a positive, joyful experience that provides a wonderful way to connect with people of all backgrounds and walks of life.
He's an American-style, social ballroom dance instructor based in Kamloops, BC. He started taking dance lessons with the University of Saskatchewan Ballroom Dance Club in Saskatoon with the goal of learning a few skills and patterns for when he went to wedding dances. Instead, he fell in love with social ballroom dance and eventually took his instructor training with the USBDC and taught with them before moving to Kamloops in 2007.
Todd currently teaches Smooth, Latin, and Swing dance styles for the City of Kamloops and Dance With Me Kamloops, a club dedicated to providing people of all skill levels with a place to learn and practice partner-based dancing in a supportive environment.
He has also performed for a variety of events in Kamloops, such as the Mayor’s Gala for the Arts, the TRU Foundation Gala, and the Pink Ribbon Ball, to promote social ballroom dancing within the community.
When he isn’t dancing and teaching, Todd is a consulting archaeologist operating in the southern interior of BC.
